President's Message

On behalf of our 750 members, welcome to MSMTA's sixth year on the web! The pages published here represent the heart of our association - a commitment to excellence through professional development and student participation in our many festivals and competitions.

Today's Maryland State Music Teachers Association embodies the rich tradition of more than forty years of service to our students and our communities. Moreover, we welcome the emerging communications technology as a tool for better interaction with colleagues within the association and throughout the United States.

As an educated consumer, browse through our website. Search our online data base via the Member Search to locate a teacher of your chosen instrument in your locality. Utilize the Student Activities link to find that perfect competition for your nine year-old cellist. Complete one of our newly designed Membership Information Forms, and submit it to the Membership Chair ([javascript protected email address]), for further information about joining us and our parent organization, Music Teachers National Association.

The Maryland State Music Teachers Association is as vital and diverse as our Western mountains and Eastern Shore. Discover who we are, what we do, and how we can make your musical life richer and more fulfilling.
